Friendship Baptist Church

What We Believe

"The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the basis for everything we believe and do."

Our God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Our Savior

We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ - that He is truly God and truly man. We believe He died on the Cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended into Heaven. Today, He sits at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

Our Community

We band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ. We are personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation with a world in need of His hope.

Where We Come From

Our History

Around July 27, 1906, a group of local Baptists who had been meeting in a local country schoolhouse felt God’s call to form a Church. Several members holding membership letters from another Church wished to resolve themselves into a Baptist Church. They asked their Pastor to call a formal council comprised of other local ministers in the effort to begin a Baptist Church. The council was conveyed and Friendship Baptist Church was commissioned. By August 5, 1906, Friendship Baptist Church had thirty (30) charter members. Over 115 years later, Friendship continues to hold Adult Sunday School classes, welcome children of all ages into the Children's department and has a Sunday morning service at 11:00am.

Our Core Values

We center everything we do around one central goal: To glorify God by being disciples who make disciples for Christ.

01. Worship Over All

Our primary aim is to glorify God. We believe that life works best when He is at the center. Through our music, our teaching, and our daily lives, we strive to give Him the honor He deserves.

01. Authentic Discipleship

Being a disciple means being a lifelong student of Jesus. We don't just "attend" church; we are the church. We prioritize deep roots in Scripture and honest relationships.

03. Multiplication (Making Disciples)

Faith was never meant to stop with us. We are passionate about "making disciples who make disciples." Whether it's across the street or across the globe, we empower our people to share the hope of Christ with others.

04. Growing Together

Growth doesn't happen in isolation. We value Small Groups and community spaces where we can carry each other's burdens, celebrate victories, and grow in faith as a unified body.
